Gillian Frazier has worked as an artist all of her life… Her work shows a mastery of knowledge in both the aesthetic and the technical. Her willingness to explore and experiment in a variety of subjects and themes, while integrating technology into her work has given Gillian the opportunity to grow as an artist. Gillian has committed herself to follow the goal of expressing her emotions as she continues to create work influenced by her life experiences.
Gillian loves nature and that is why my work harkens to landscapes and light. She explores light and color using the landscape and simplifying the imagery to symbolic forms. Her work often eludes to tapistries or weavings, creating the repetitive designs. She loves to explore the possibility of working in mixed media and pushing the limits of what can be done with it.
